The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum & Education Center includes the two-story, 14-room Pfeiffer family home built in 1910, and a barn, which was remodeled into a writer's studio for Hemingway after his marriage to Pauline Pfeiffer in 1927. The couple made frequent trips to Piggott during the Thirties and Hemingway penned eight books and numerous short stories during the 13-year marriage. "A Farewell to Arms" was published in 1929, and the movie version had its world premiere at the New Franklin Theater in Piggott in December, 1932.
